I got my "Ruby" on today, and gave my gym the deuces/I'll see ya, when I see ya! However, my trainer followed. I'd choose a jog under this sunset, over a treadmill any day! I completed 6.2 miles in 2 hours. I was actually at the gym, did 20 minutes on the treadmill and started feeling blah, and Terk could tell ... so he asked "what you wanna do?" ... For once, he asked ME what I wanted? I should have gotten that in writing ... so I took him along with me to my fav trail in the woods!
a must have when trekking it! OFF Active Sweat Resistant Insect Repellent
I won't front like it was easy either, you know that after-workout stiff pain you get? Mine came at mile 4 ... But he was right in my ear repetitively chiming "tighten it up" ... this is the same person who advised me never to walk out of the gym looking beat up, "exhale when you shut your car door, because I don't want to see it" ... <---lol, I now realize the importance of maintaining an effective form (stomach in, back straight, head up, arms posed), it not only helps propel you forward, it aides in natural resistance (a kick-back almost), instead of flailing my arms and legs ... wasting profitable energy ... and calorie-burnage opportunities. That 1/2 marathon is coming up in October - just a little over 3 months to prepare ... whew ... more time working out in the elements will definitely ensue ...

PC I told you to stop messing with those motorola phones it looks like a pony to me! lol. 6 miles? Keep doing you soror! ~Tash
ReplyDeleteHi Madame your trainer is teaching you well. I try to tell my clients time and time again that they are throwing away energy by not practicing proper form. I'm pleased that they are up and moving but I want to see it done right. Good luck with you half training and congrats on your progress.
ReplyDeleteGreat work as always!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Madame P. Girl do the damn thing (my fav. saying)You are the best and when I grow up I wanna be just like u.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness that first picture is simply beautiful, I can understand liking that than being on a tread. I am fascinated by your journey and your devotion to putting in the work that is required. I think there are more blogs on advice, goals and wishing but not enough people DOING what it takes. I hope your will stays steadfast and you reach higher heights!
ReplyDeleteI love to jog outdoors too. There's something about the natural elements that is motivational.
ReplyDeleteKeep pushing, that Half Marathon will be great.
